Family Dinner

My family usually hold dinner parties just to mingle and catch up with each other. It may be true that at times they just do it for the purpose of bragging their new flashy cars and glitzy properties... I really don't know. I never had the fancy of getting into the circle of the Big Three and brush elbows with them, anyway. I am their Pacingcing whom my late grandfather adores. Often enough, I should be seen in parties and blend with them... that is what's expected of me... But if they don't like who I am now or would dare to raise an eyebrow at you, I'm ready to shut my doors to the humbug family that I have. A real family dinner is what I always have with you. A humble but nourishing one -- to the heart and to the soul. I don't want the American taste- small serving food that they offer. What I want is a "sige kumain ka lang" and "sige kumuha ka pa" family who isn't just about table setting and the right posture. The true family dinner is sharing food with the ones you love and care about and satisfying their need of your presence at the dinner table. Food may not be that abundant, but when coupled with love, it will not only fill the stomach but will make having dinner an experience to look forward to every single night.
